Who attends Al-Anon meetings? Members and prospective members – those whose personal lives have been affected by the problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend.

Can others interested in the family disease of alcoholism attend meetings? Some groups hold Open* meetings and have an Open* designation. Anyone interested in the family disease of alcoholism is invited to attend Open* meetings. These meetings are made up of members and prospective members, but occasionally have nurses, students or others attend.

Please email web@coafg.org and let us know if your group is meeting on a holiday and we'll note it in your meeting's details.

Beginners to the Al-Anon program are welcome to attend any Al-Anon meeting. In addition, Beginners Meetings provide basic information about Al-Anon and Alateen that new members may find helpful. Newcomers to the Al-Anon and Alateen program are encouraged to attend regular Al-Anon and Alateen meetings as well.
